Next working day delivery is free on all orders over £75 (excluding VAT) .
If your order is less than £75 it will incur a packaging and handling charge of £6.50 (ex. VAT).
Orders are delivered to the address given at the time of order by a national courier.
Orders placed by 5pm are processed and dispatched the same day for delivery the following working day.
Should any item(s) back order you will be notified immediately with an anticipated delivery date.
Deliveries to UK mainland are FOC if the order is over £75 (ex VAT), however delivery costs to remote locations ( Highlands and Islands) will be determined upon receipt of order.
The Customer is responsible for completing full order details: Name, Billing Address, Delivery Address, e-mail contact and telephone numbers. This will ensure that all orders are processed in a timely manner.
Whilst every reasonable effort shall be made to keep delivery date, we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the Customer or any other person/company arising directly or indirectly out of failure to meet an estimated delivery date.
Delivery of Goods shall be made to the Customer’s address and the Customer shall make all arrangements to take delivery of the Goods. A failed delivery will result in the Customer being charged for return to store and redelivery.
Goods on request, left at a different address are the responsibility of the Customer and we will not be held liable for missing or stolen items.
If you are requesting delivery to a country outside the UK you may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local Customs Office for further information. Additionally, when ordering from The Vet Store you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.
As internal damage cannot always be identified on delivery, the Customer must sign the drivers manifest as “unchecked”. Should any damage be identified on opening the package The Vet Store must be advised within 48 hours of the exact damage? It is imperative that the Customer does not dispose of any packaging as this will be required to affect a claim against the carrier. The claim will be handled by the Vet Store and an arrangement will be made to collect the damaged goods (replacements will be sent).
We cannot accept any claims for damage if the above time scales are not followed and providing photographic evidence (if possible) of the items and the packaging.
We will not accept liability for goods lost in transit unless we are notified within 5 days from the expected delivery date.
We shall accept no liability for shortages, non-deliveries, incorrect goods and goods damaged on delivery outside the reported time scales except when extenuating circumstances have prevented notification within the reported timescale. The extenuating circumstances must be by mutual agreement.
It is the Customers responsibility to notify us of any incorrect goods supplied within 48 hours of delivery. If the items are not as ordered the Customer must not open the manufacturers packaging or use the item. The Customer will also be required to provide further information on what was received ie we may required the manufacturers part code and a full description. Should there be any extenuating circumstances that prohibit the Customer to respond within the specified time frame, resolution will be by mutual decision.
Non account holders will be subject to a standard flat delivery & packaging charge of £6.50 + VAT on each order regardless of value. Free delivery on order over £75 are for trade account customers only.
